Christophe Claramunt, Professor in Computer Science, research chair of the French Naval Academy and deputy director of the ISblue Interdisciplinary Graduate School for the Blue Planet (www.isblue.fr) . He is an associate editor of the International Journal of Geographical Information Science (IJGIS), and also serve in the editorial boards of many main GIS journals including Computers Environment and Urban Systems (CEUS), Journal of Spatial information Science (JOSIS) etc. He also regularly acts as the chairs of several GIS and Computer Science international conferences.

  • Professor in Computer Science and Deputy Director, Naval Academy Research Institute, France, July 2005 – now. Research in the field of GIS, research coordination in the fields of submarine acoustics, hydrodynamics and maritime GIS, development of industrial and research relationships at the national and international levels (25 academics; 35 Ph.D. students; 20 support staff).
